Access Your Resilience: Finding Stability Through Turbulence

Everyone can relate to feeling lost, overwhelmed or defeated when the going gets tough; after all, uncertainty is scary and change is hard. The “fight or flight” response suggests we are naturally inclined to meet life’s most challenging circumstances by either taking dramatic action or retreating with our tail between our legs. Yet when we stay calm, cool and collected in the face of change and the unknown, we strengthen our positions in both the present and the future. This workshop will guide attendees into a mindset to access their resilience, and provide tools and practices to find stability through turbulent times.

Participants will learn:

  • How to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, and why

  • Mindfulness and breathing techniques to improve focus and activate a relaxation response

  • Reframing techniques to align perception and mindset with one’s vision of success

  • Reclaiming ownership of your experience to create results with ease and confidence

Mindful Management & Leadership

Beyond the responsibility of their own decisions and actions, leaders are tasked with inspiring and sustaining a professional environment that is supportive, productive and resilient. To be successful, leaders must be thoughtful, compassionate and agile but also decisive, organized and even authoritative at times. This workshop encourages mindful leadership by example, provides strategies for leading with awareness, intention and vision, and explores how to use mindfulness to develop discernment in dealing with organization challenges and interpersonal conflict.

Participants will learn:

  • How to sharpen awareness of one's own leadership style and better understand the effects leader behavior has on others

  • How to identify strengths and vulnerabilities in processes and systems

  • How to foster a balanced environment of camaraderie and accountability

  • Do’s and Don’ts of approaching difficult situations and dealing with conflict

Mindful Time Management

Time management is the art of getting things done in a way that maximizes results while preserving energy. In an age where the demand for our attention increases constantly and exponentially, the time we have in any given day remains the same. This creates a condition in which our work and personal obligations expand to fill all available time, muddling our priorities, hurting our performance, and even potentially harming our relationships. This workshop empowers attendees to take ownership of their time and attention, and ultimately get more done with less stress.

Participants will learn:

  • Setting boundaries on our time and attention through mindfulness and time-blocking

  • Prioritizing projects, tasks and and even relationships

  • Tracking your time and evaluating its impact

  • Building habits for time management and self-care

Mindful Listening & Communication

Communication skills can make all the difference in our ability to build, grow and nurture relationships in both our personal and professional lives. While we know that communication is a two-way street, most of us place our focus, time and energy on the development of outbound communication skills and leave listening skills unchecked. In this workshop, attendees will learn why listening and receiving information is as important as speaking and expressing, and be introduced to techniques and practices that build listening as a proactive skill that is integral and can be transformative.

Participants will learn:

  • Being present as the difference between listening and hearing

  • How to develop listening as a proactive skill

  • Creating space for possibility in conversations

  • Letting go of presumptions, expectations and stories to make room for effective collaboration

Goal-Setting

Performance reviews are necessary to keep an organization’s talent growing. They are a great tool in helping individuals with their career growth, but they can often be overlooked or under-appreciated. After performance reviews, career goals for the next year must be developed, but oftentimes these goals are developed to address opportunities identified by managers and are limited to short-term growth.

While it’s important to set goals to address feedback provided, it is equally important to think about your holistic career as a journey - and not only as a path to your next promotion.  In the Setting Career Goals training, you learn how to process the information you received during performance reviews and develop goals to set the stage for long-term positive career momentum.

Participants will learn:

  • Processing a Performance Review

  • Defining a Big Agenda

  • Defining Small Agendas

  • Setting SMART Goals (Strategic. Measurable, Actionable. Realistic. Time-boxed)

Authentic Excellence

Offering the mindfulness practices of self-inquiry, self-observance and non attachment as foundations for self-actualization, this workshop empowers attendees to connect with their authenticity and use it as fuel for the journey toward personal contentment and professional success. When we are open and honest about who and how we are, from what inspires us to the patterns that hold us back, we can shift from a mindset of doubt, rumination and fear to one of confident awareness, choice and accountability.

Participants will learn:

  • How to use mindfulness and meditation to develop a strong identification with the most authentic and capable version of oneself

  • Reframing techniques to align perception and mindset with one’s vision of success

  • How to shift awareness toward oneself from a lens of fear, uncertainty and hesitation to a lens of opportunity, choice and action

  • Habit-development and accountability practices to encourage, track and celebrate success
