We’re better together: Work From Om® partners with Running River Collective

Running River Collective's founder, Quazzy

A deep commitment to personal and professional growth inspired our founder Sarah to launch Work From Om® in 2014 to bring mindfulness, meditation and yoga practices into the workplace. We are excited that our company’s journey of growth is taking another step forward to achieve that goal while also leading with diversity, inclusion and equity.

It’s no secret that the wellness industry is dominated by a narrow archetype and we’ve made it part of our company’s strategic plan to help change that narrative. We’re beyond proud to officially partner in this work with Running River Collective (RRC), a non-profit organization centered around supporting Black Joy and balanced, healthy and sustainable lifestyles for marginalized yet powerful communities such as those from the African diaspora, BIPOC and LGBTQ+. They’re working to bridge the gap between predominantly Black spaces and the wellness practices that are usually afforded to White or upper-class people. Work From Om® is honored to deepen our relationship with this organization and support their mission to bring ancient wisdom and practices to everyone in a modern, accessible way.

Announcing the Work From Om® Community Studio curated by Running River Collective.

The Work From Om® Community Studio is a place where anyone can begin or expand their practice with diverse teachers from diverse backgrounds. RRC’s founder Quazzy is leading this initiative and we are delighted to share his intentional series of offerings where all are welcome. Following Quazzy’s direction, we’re expanding our offerings with new teachers, new classes and many opportunities for all of us to learn from the wisdom and experience those teachers bring to the mat. Work From Om® is also elevating our commitment to our teachers with a gentle but conscious shift from free to (suggested) donation-based classes. We created this flexible model because we believe that well-being must be accessible AND that teachers deserve to be compensated for their expertise. We believe in empowering these healers to lead and share their gifts with the world in our virtual space that is backed up by a simple infrastructure that works, and feels stress-free, every time.

There’s no question that we LOVE our clients, students, teachers and our community. And this partnership with Running River Collective is enabling us to create a platform where all stakeholder groups can get MORE out of it than they put in. Simply put, we’re better together. We hope you’ll join us in our virtual Community Studio to practice with these amazing teachers who inspire us to be our best, most authentic selves, every day.
